About The Roused

Retro Switch On

The Roused is a rock band from the Detroit, Michigan area of the USA. Despite Robocop also being from Detroit, we can assure you that we are fully human. We do not use AI for music or lyric creation. All our music is from our tiny little pea brains and our thick callused fingers. Thank you for looking and listening to The Roused! GET ROUSED!

The Roused

Our Influences:

As a band, we have a diverse range of music related influences. Depending on our mood, any catchy song will grab our attention. We like most music genres including rock, hard rock, metal, alternative, punk, grunge, rockabilly, country, blues, jazz, ... well basically everything! There are so many influences from all types of musicians that's it's hard to name them all. Basically we love all types of music and enjoy creating and performing new music.

Our Gear:

We use a variety of music gear to help create a unique sound. In fact, many songs have their own distinct flavor. We are always looking for new, cool sounds and tones to bring to our music. Our song tracks are recorded in the studio using microphones in front of people and amps. It's raw and not perfect, but that's the way rock and roll should be.

Some of the gear brands that we use are:

Zildjian, TKO Precussion, Digitech, Ampeg, Peavey, Marshall, DeArmond, Guild, Epiphone, Tech 21, MXR, Zoom, Fender, Squier, Shure, Audio Technica, AKG, DOD, Wampler, TC Electronics, JRockett Audio Designs, Shoe, Vick Audio, Caline, Behringer, Presonus, and Roland.

Please note that we are not endorsed or affiliated with these brands in any way.

The Roused supports AI free music and the humanity of music creation and performance.

About The Roused Retro Site:

We added some throwback colors and graphics on this version of the site. Unfortunately, however, it's not as mobile device friendly. This site is best when viewed on an actual old school desktop computer. It's our little way of having some fun on the Indie Web. For mobile or small screen use, please use the modern version of the site.

Click on the Retro Switch (located on the top right) to turn off retro and go back to the modern site.
